Costume designer Charlese Antoinette Jones created Black Designer Database in 2019 as a resource for stylists and designers, helping them find black designers for their projects.  

BDDB goes into its third year, we are looking to strengthen the black design community by hosting events, growing into the web3 space, and sharing resources with our community.

This Friday, February 25th, We have a client who is looking for 5-6 brands  to showcase their products during their staff marketplace.

Our client will purchase all products; Products for the market must be around 20 dollars in addition to an ample inventory of items 

Brands  that participate must have a representative present at the marketplace to set up their exhibit and explain their items to staff

We are looking for designers to feature in the Pilot: Broken Toilets. Where I will be Lead designer. 

Shooting begins Monday January 17th with fittings on Thursday January 13th in Jersey City, New Jersey.

SYNOPSIS: BROKEN TOILETS tells the story of Yossi Klein, a young Hassidic man, tasked to take care of his father-in-law’s buildings in a low-income, outer borough of NYC. But Yossi has a secret – he loves hip hop.  During the everyday mundane, often absurd tasks that come along with property management, he meets two tenants – young aspiring hip hop artists, DiAndra “Dee” Jones played by Dede Lovelace and Kevin Randolph played by Corey Laramore. Together they form the most unlikely of musical trios and set off to make a demo record, all the while Yossi navigates what it means to be a Hassidic Jew in the modern world.
